We live in wild times; ongoing headlines make that clear. The planets point to a shakedown with the potential for positive changes over the next 3 years as Pluto trines Uranus and they both sextile Neptune. Pluto and Uranus are the two planets we associate with transformation; they are like wild horses with Neptune holding the reins. These planets talked to each other in similar patterns just before the American revolution and during the mid 1960’s.
On a good day, our Neptunian vision and compassion can steer this boat. But unless we consciously engage that approach, our fears, illusions, and deception- Neptune’s shadow side- can be in the driver’s seat. It’s vital that we vote for the reality we want with our imagination and then follow through with concrete action. We need to repeatedly peer through the Neptunian fog of projection, look underneath rhetoric and shallow memes for truth and inspiration, and stay curious about what is truly going on.
As this weekend begins the Sun in Libra forms the far corner of a grand trine with Uranus and Pluto, so what happens this week will help plant seeds for the next few years’ worth of changes.
All this week Mercury in Libra can help us find equalizing thoughts and diplomatic words, Venus in Virgo helps us sort and can open our hearts under real need, but we can be a little hard on ourselves and one another. A strong willful current underneath could whisper of revenge, oppression, or bring out a passive-aggressive streak, but this current can also inspire important investigations, uncover what’s hidden, and add passionate focus to our work -once we engage- all thanks to Mars in Scorpio. We can, with grace, use imagination and spirit to plot our course, discuss needs improvement, and then use that will power to follow through.
Friday begins rather intense and deep as the focused and potentially suspicious Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter and Saturn- all in emotional water signs. The mood shifts as the Moon enters Sagittarius this afternoon and calls for action or a change of scene or plans.
This weekend, under that Sagittarius Moon, is perfect for short trips or apple picking under an Azure sky, but a sense of humor will be important; we’ll be painfully aware where it’s missing. Monday starts under an industrious Capricorn Moon but watch for misunderstandings or different priorities and clarify the direction before launching.
Midweek the Moon enters Aquarius and Mercury squares Jupiter, there may be a tendency to say too much or to say too much without editing and be surprised at the triggers. Choose words with care. The Sun opposes the planetoid Ceres on Thursday and asks questions about food and food resources, what nurtures our soul, what nourishes our bodies, what nourishes starving populations, and how the harvest is coming in.
Friday, September 26: Watch the mood swings this tricky morning as the Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter and Saturn this morning; say less and focus on something constructive, solid, and sequential. Late afternoon opens fresh possibilities but can tempt us to oversimplify as the Moon enters Sagittarius and trines Neptune. Look for something fresh and magical, inhale the fall mountain air but also see through simplistic illusions, and don’t settle for easy answers.
Moon trine Saturn 11:43 AM MDT, Moon enters Sagittarius 3:36 PM, Moon trine Neptune 4:57 PM, Moon opposed Uranus 6:12 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 6:31 PM.
Saturday, September 27: Tune into a potentially delightful sense of personal possibilities, Work around any social awkwardness midday. Get outside under the Sagittarius Moon, take short trips, play, or make plans for an unusual educational experience in the months ahead. People will want to speak their truth, but the question will be whether they delude themselves; listen to their stories but keep critical thinking firmly in place.
Moon sextile Sun 12:33 AM MDT, Moon square Venus 11:59 AM.
Sunday, September 28: Check in with overnight dreams as they may bring powerful information about some important process of soul. Renovate though fall cleaning or political reorganizing, move some improving pawn forward. We may feel tired or world-weary tonight, but instead of getting grim or over-tired, which is easy to feel, we’ll rest more easily if we organize and prepare for a busy week ahead as the Moon squares Saturn.
Moon sextile Mercury 1:43 AM MDT, Moon square the nodes 2:19 AM, Moon square Saturn 11:43 PM.
Monday, September 29: A potentially depressive cloud whispering around the edges can ease with even a small sense of accomplishment. Make plans under an industrious Capricorn Moon as it sextiles Mars midday, just make these plans cooperatively rather than try to manipulate others. Don’t be pushy nor be pushed. Check in with the team and assess everyone’s understanding of the process, clear up any recent misconceptions or confusion in the way and get rolling. Make hay while the Sun shines. At home, ask about work progress or frustrations, bond with sympathy and humor while supporting one another’s goals. People want us to care what they’ve worked so hard upon, what are their concerns.
Moon enters Capricorn 3:54 AM MDT, Moon square Neptune 5:05 AM, Moon sextile Mars 1:55 PM, Moon square the Sun 5:53 PM.
Tuesday, September 30: Run with any optimistic sparks as the Moon trines Venus. Get it done today, accomplish simple things; we’ll feel better if we can tick the boxes off a list, build or create with steady effort. If broodiness or melancholia seeps in, give that Mars in Scorpio a mystery to solve, rocks to look under. Look for root causes. Conversation is important all day, but tonight- let people be quiet- if they need- as the Moon squares Mercury. Introspection simmers behind the scenes.
Moon trine Venus 6:19 AM MDT, Moon square Mercury 9:38 PM, Moon opposed Jupiter 10:40 PM.
Wednesday, October 1: Team work makes the dream work, or so says the Aquarian Moon. But Mars in Scorpio clashes; maybe we’d rather work alone even when teamwork is needed, so let everybody do things at their own pace and rhythm, working autonomously towards a shared goal. Meetings and conferences go well if we don’t poke too much into people’s private lives and if we share respectful boundaries. Look for important accidental announcements, information that slips out sideways, as Mercury squares Jupiter.
Moon sextile Saturn 9:33 AM MDT, Moon enters Aquarius 1:51 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 2:50 PM, Mercury square Jupiter 2:58 PM, Moon trine Uranus 4:50 PM, Moon conjunct Pluto 4:28 PM.
Thursday, October 2: Engage in important conversation on how we nourish one another, nourish our world, and build systems that work. Investigate both self-care, how to do it well and feel really fed by our lives, what is fair to ask from the community, how we can support one another in the process as the Aquarius Moon trines the Libra Sun. Also notice conversations around food production, nutrition, and health care as Sun opposed Ceres. Instead of arguing about the fairness of chores at home or work, which could be tempting to do, contemplate what will help the whole system work and be a team. We need to feel we’re in this together.
Moon square Mars 2:28 AM MDT, Sun opposed Ceres 7:15 AM, Moon trine Sun 7:41 AM.
