Keep calm and clear the mental fog. Reel that snappy comment back in, and take a break rather than cut off a friendship. Mercury, symbolic of our mental switchboard, is now in intense Scorpio, retrograde until November 3, and opposite erratic Uranus. Although we can concentrate easily on our work, how we think, communicate, and transport can get reactive and glitchy. Quick decisions may need to be questioned. Real and shocking news comes through. Some people will just get off on making outrageous statements, or sling misleading information about like mud in a pigsty.

Check all facts and do it carefully; confirmation bias runs strong with Mercury in Scorpio; we’ll tend to believe that which supports our opinions and deny that which does not. Which can make efforts to change minds before the coming election frustrating, loud, and totally off-the-wall. Watch for some last-minute shenanigans that will be designed to shock minds and make it hard to correct misinformation in time.

So, it’s our job, both as citizens, and as humans, to reduce our bias, and look carefully at any new information that’s coming down the pike. Calm down our reaction and look for the facts underneath. Listen to children and here what stories they are building about the world, honor the emotional reality, but listen to see if some misinformation needs to be corrected underneath.
