Let’s take a deep breath, and pace ourselves. We can’t see where we’re going right now but could feel like we urgently have to get there, and get easily irritated with whatever’s in our way. This fog bank comes as the Sun approaches confusing Neptune, while Mercury, now retrograde, appears to hold still before it turns direct on Sunday night. That spicy sense of urgency rises as Venus approaches a conjunction to impatient Uranus on Sunday.

These fog- producing aspects are expressing themselves through some political disorientation and stories of disease. A few of us will respond to these aspects with depression or by needing some quiet time out, a few others become more competent (or try to sound like they are) but some will try to crank down and try to control others with Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all now in Capricorn. This will be as true for the parent of a teenager as it is for governmental agencies. Control without wisdom is counterproductive, so let’s stay spacious, practice self-control, and step forward one step at a time it.

On Friday a rather melodramatic Leo Moon encourages us to express ourselves dramatically to get our point across, even if we don’t know what we’re saying. Watch hyperbole spin in the social media and television news. None of us can see very far ahead right now, but we can clearly describe what’s actually going on in the moment. If anyone tries to pontificate on the future of politics, disease, or economics, know they’re expressing their feelings rather than have a handle on the facts. We can also use that Leo panache with gentleness to find the grace notes in life even in an otherwise tough moment.

After a slow, if potentially emotional Saturday, on Sunday we may feel unusually aware of our vulnerability but guilty if we just need to rest or take care of ourselves, and this can manifest worry about the coronavirus and its emotional bow waves as the Sun conjuncts Neptune in Pisces under a Virgo Moon. The world is processing real fear around the permeability of our health and economy as we are reminded that we humans live in one world, we are one. This permeability can also work for us, and open us up to our creative Muse, to spirit, to our beloveds. We can soak up beauty as well as concern.
