We are deep in Pisces season this week, and can feel drifty, foggy, a bit out of the loop. The last leaves on the winter’s trees and the first green shoots are being eaten by the deer. It’s a low energy time of the year, great for curling up with a book or catching up with our art supplies, any form of creative puttering can help with moments of melancholia as the Sun, Venus and Neptune all run together in sensitive Pisces and the Sun conjuncts diffusing Neptune.

This low-energy time of year can be a time when elders check out our people with long-term illness, it’s an easy time to drift free of the moorings. The dregs of winter and the first wisps and wings of spring call us to dreamtime, but we can use those dreams to plan our gardens and our future. The weekend after this brings a new Moon in Pisces, a wonderfully fertile time to start seeds of all types. The week after that brings the Vernal equinox.

As the Sun conjuncts Neptune this week, like rain over snow on a Moonlit night, it’s lovely, foggy, but hard to see where we’re going, though that doesn’t stop us from inventing stories. All the boundaries feel permeable, our senses perceptive, but once we step out of our box, anything is possible. If we find our imagination wandering into anxious or suspicious thoughts, let’s observe the world, engage our imagination productively, and check all our facts.

On Friday as the weekend begins, an upbeat Moon in Sagittarius can leave us restless, which with Neptune’s magical thinking, can make some sloppy about health precautions. Let’s see if we can be safe and keep this covid curve going down so there’s no setback, and safely explore.

A melancholic Venus-Pluto aspect on Saturday stirs up deep feelings or messy projections, so let’s check our assumptions and be kind to our hearts. The Moon enters Capricorn late Saturday brings a competent seriousness on Sunday and Monday. It furthers to mix beauty and practicality- helps us ease past a low-level ambient anxiety. Organize, get the garden ready, just watch an unproductive tendency to organize and garden one another. We could do this to be manipulative or we can think we’re expressing our love by trying to make other people do what we think they should do so it lowers our own anxiety. Just honor all the feelings but let the beloveds drive their own life.

On Tuesday our attention is brought back to our collectives, our teams, gangs and family dynamics as the Moon enters Aquarius and conjunct Saturn. But as we dive back into our interpersonal work, let’s remember the Sun is conjunct Neptune and we need to keep our boundaries clean, our feet underneath us, and our facts checked.

On Thursday the waning Moon enters Pisces, preparing to conjuncts the Sun the following Saturday for a very fertile new Moon; that will be time to plant seedlings, dreams, ideas, hopes and forgiveness. So, let’s prepare our seedpods for next Saturday and contemplate what we like to grow this coming season.

Friday, March 5: If work needs to be done, we may need to apply extra willpower to make it so; our escapist tendencies crave a break in routine and make concentration hard as the Sagittarius Moon conjuncts the south node and squares the sun, Venus and Neptune. Tonight, take that break; make them laugh, discuss where to travel in mind, body, and spirit when the dust clears, and it is safe to travel.

Saturday, March 6: Puddle about today. Our hearts can feel pulled or tugged by recent events, memories, or for no reason as Venus semi-squares Pluto. the same aspect can help us pour those feelings into our artwork or are any form of expression, may be time to sit with some memories write a poem, daydream about the house extension or study something fascinating. We grow more competent as the Moon enters Capricorn tonight but may jostle with awkward unspoken power dynamics or easily lose our sense of humor. Know when to go to sleep.

Moon square Neptune 2:43 AM, Venus semi-square Pluto 4:40 AM, Moon enters Capricorn 7:20 PM.

Sunday, March 7: Under a busy Capricorn Moon let’s notice where we might sacrifice ourselves for others, rather than share ourselves, and break that pattern. We may need to either adjust what we do, adjust our attitude until we can surrender or act with a free heart, or adjust our self-care to create more balance as Venus opposes the asteroid Vesta next few days.

Moon trine Uranus 9:08 AM, Moon sextile Venus 6:28 PM, Venus opposes Vesta 11:36 PM.

Monday, March 8: Morning is productive, if a bit grim. We may feel both idealistic about what we could do and overwhelmed or cynical about the difficult people and scenarios between here and there. Watch a cranky determinism; completing any small project improves the mood. If a wave of discouragement hits near dinnertime as the Moon conjuncts Pluto, honor the feelings but know they are transient, and look for something worthy they reveal.

Moon sextile Sun 3:14 AM, Moon sextile Neptune 7:40 AM, Moon conjunct Pluto 5:52 PM.

Tuesday, March 9: Look for both a fresher idealism and totally wacky theories as the Moon enters Aquarius. We may have actual mystical experiences, experience strange phenomenon, or just space out and get oblivious. Consciously add grounding and organization to the day’s imaginative mix.

Moon enters Aquarius 12:40 AM, Moon trines Mars 6:22 AM, Moon square Uranus 3:06 PM, Moon conjunct Saturn 5:44 PM.,

Wednesday, March 10: Expect both opportunities for optimistic breakthroughs, but also the fog of fearful or wishful thinking as the Sun conjuncts Neptune, the Moon conjunct Jupiter then Mercury in Aquarius. We perceive clearly with our hearts, but our minds may not quite put the pieces together. Take time to space out or sit with your chosen form of spiritual practice and find that still calm in the center. If feeling misunderstood, know it’s just the fog and state clearly what’s needed in the moment. Don’t ask anybody to buck up and deal.

Moon conjunct Jupiter 10:57 AM, Sun conjunct Neptune 5 PM, Moon conjunct Mercury 8:31 PM.

Thursday, March 11: We may feel like an emotional puddle under the waning Pisces Moon. Avoid guilt trips, expect emotions to be complex and boundaries elusive. If feelings are confusing, they may be just free-floating emotions wafting through, so don’t attach to their stories. Prepare to plant thoughts, actions, relationship, and seeds for the future in the weeks ahead over the coming weekend.

Moon enters Pisces 7:43 AM, Moon square Mars 4:15 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 10:49 PM.
