We are deep in Pisces season this week, and can feel drifty, foggy, a bit out of the loop. The last leaves on the winter’s trees and the first green shoots are being eaten by the deer. It’s a low energy time of the year, great for curling up with a book or catching up with our art supplies, any form of creative puttering can help with moments of melancholia as the Sun, Venus and Neptune all run together in sensitive Pisces and the Sun conjuncts diffusing Neptune.
This low-energy time of year can be a time when elders check out our people with long-term illness, it’s an easy time to drift free of the moorings. The dregs of winter and the first wisps and wings of spring call us to dreamtime, but we can use those dreams to plan our gardens and our future. The weekend after this brings a new Moon in Pisces, a wonderfully fertile time to start seeds of all types. The week after that brings the Vernal equinox.
As the Sun conjuncts Neptune this week, like rain over snow on a Moonlit night, it’s lovely, foggy, but hard to see where we’re going, though that doesn’t stop us from inventing stories. All the boundaries feel permeable, our senses perceptive, but once we step out of our box, anything is possible. If we find our imagination wandering into anxious or suspicious thoughts, let’s observe the world, engage our imagination productively, and check all our facts.
