It’s a good week to write short fiction stories rather than a novel or factual report. The stars can get our engines running and our minds spinning but can also leave our head in a fog. Life occurs in potentially fascinating discrete scenarios, but it can be hard to make progress on the overarching pattern of our life.

With Mercury and the Sun in Mercury’s own nervy and talkative sign Gemini, the Twins, we may want to travel, foray, buzz about and cross pollinate our community. If we can take the week off to meander or work at our own rhythm- it could be wonderful. But for anything else, proceed carefully. Stay centered and ready to deal with wildcards, control impulses when emotions spike, and stay kind. If a conversation feels charged, walk away until the dust settles.

Our thinking can be unusually imaginative, but cloudy, tangential, and often unrealistic as Mercury, arbiter of our mental switchboard, retrogrades and squares intuitive, confusing Neptune exactly this weekend. This is the second of three passes; Mercury squares this point one more time on its direct pass in early July. Some confusion that sits with us now can linger through summer but could clarify in August and September. Mercury retrograde through July 22 may be a wonderful time to reconnect with old contacts or elements from the past but watch for little mechanical failures and catch minor glitches before they become…
