Imbolc. On Sunday we mark winter’s halfway point, when Persephone begins to walk towards the upper worlds, when beans were started in the kivas, and a traditional day for auguries by groundhog and other animals. Let’s be curious about what creatures cross our path, listen to one another and to our muse, as Venus sextiles Pluto and warms our hearts.
Throughout the week our attention is drawn to the big picture, to world health, national politics, and our relationships with our community while the Sun and Mercury walk through farsighted Aquarius. The mood will be generally feisty and outspoken with Mars in direct Sagittarius, yet with vulnerable, permeable undertones as Venus pulls away from a conjunction to Neptune in Pisces. A few days ago, Venus conjunct Neptune, and Mars squared Neptune which offered a lovely creative and spiritual edge, inspired rich midwinter dreams, but can also leave us feeling a bit emotionally permeable and vulnerable to germs and invasive attitudes. We may want a bit of insulation between ourselves and the rest of the world.
This weekend starts out under a feisty Moon in Aries that can support both our immune system and feed our tempers and reaction times. The world stories on the emergent coronavirus can expand in our minds, and make us painfully aware of how important it is that we take care of the health of the planet and all its occupants, in order to protect the health of any individual within. Our fates are intertwined.
