We need to clarify our intentions this week. Whenever any two planets come together, like the Sun and Moon to every new moon they start a new cycle. This weekend a new 38-year cycle is initiated as Saturn and Pluto conjunct in Capricorn. What we begin now, whether we’re conscious of it, unconsciously motivated, or just for the heck of it, will sets up the rhythm for our work, our structures, security, power dynamics, all Saturn and Pluto issues, for the next 38-year cycle. In an even larger view of this conjunction, it hasn’t happened in Saturn’s own sign of Capricorn since 1517 when Martin Luther challenged the Catholic Church. This aspect can shake things up around our work, security, structure, bedrock, chains of command, and personal authority, all Saturn issues.
Let’s think about where we want our work to head, and how we want this work to peak in 15 to 20 years when Saturn and Pluto oppose and create the full Moon of this aspect. When these planets interact, they create a powerful, potentially competent aspect that can work for us if we have healthy goals, and can make a terrible snarling mess if we’re not clean and clear about our intentions.
We can look to the present political entanglements of the Mideast as an example of the potential snarling train wreck of willful action without a clear map. The cycle we’re just finishing began when Saturn and Pluto…
