Blessings on this Valentine’s Day in a year where we can really use more love. Valentine’s Day is an Aquarian holiday, the theory of love can be stronger than romance. It’s a wonderful time to show our love for humankind and all our relations but can be problematic when we expect the world to love us back- or expect our love life to live up to some abstract concept of romance.

This year it can be hard to feel the world is a loving place, so let’s use this theoretically loving holiday to help people feel safe to care. Yes, it’s good to honor our beloveds on this sensitizing day but also consider giving a Valentine’s to our world- community love- with random acts of kindness and compassion. Help a neighbor, bring dog treats to the pound, or check in on someone whose world is being shaken by recent changes. Do something to further social justice.

This is so important as we enter the sentimental and tender Pisces time- mental Mercury enters Pisces today and the Sun enters Pisces on Tuesday. While this can be a phenomenally creative time, under this Pisces tenderness we can also feel victimized or acutely overwhelmed by the world’s wounds.
