We’re completing a major astrological cycle as Jupiter and Saturn finish their last few weeks in Capricorn, enter Aquarius mid-month, and conjunct on the winter solstice. Both in politics and our personal life expect to polish off the dregs of old cycles, complete old patterns, solve puzzles. Neptune in Pisces (this decade) and Venus in Scorpio (these few weeks) leave us psychically sensitized, so we may also be processing the country’s generalized ambience of anxiety and irritability in this time of transition. If we’re not careful, this tension can leak through into our more tender relationships. If we do feel it, let’s be clear about the source of this tension, keep gratitude on the front burner, and look for joy in one another.
The Sun and Mercury now in outspoken and buoyant Sagittarius can help us find the humor in these dark days, though that Sagittarian sociability and restlessness increases chafing against the needed quarantine. Although we’ll value honesty, people can tell stories and still think they’re telling the truth; we have to consciously add rigorous thinking to sort it out. Political commentary can run wry and pointed, and we may tease the ones we love.
