Let’s fill this Friday the 13th with love and candles, hot chocolate and sparkly lights of the season. Venus is in good aspect right now, reaching towards a trine with Jupiter, and can warm our hearts in the face of a tough month with the cold winds of winter and wild politics. And every Friday the 13th needs extra love.

While our hearts can be warm, the pragmatic world may not be so easy right now as retrograde Mercury appears to hold still in preparation to turn direct on Sunday. With Mercury retrograde in movement-oriented Sagittarius, we can get so busy thinking about where we’re going -or where we’ve been- that we forget to watch where our feet land next. Simple transportation can be tricky, odd minor accidents just need extra attention to avoid.

Mars is also now retrograde in Leo, great for holiday traditions and can add spectacle to any snafu.
