The revolution could soon be televised. Neptune has entered fiery Aries and will soon add fire to the lava fields under the Ring of Fire, sparks to political controversy, inflammation to our joints, and power to our dreams. For the next 14 years (minus a few months next fall when it retrogrades back in Pisces) Neptune in Aries calls us to idealize action and bravely go where we have not gone before.

If we echo the last pass of Neptune in Aries- from 1861–1875 from 1861–1875, some will embrace conflict, others brilliant innovation or a new-found personal independence. During that last pass, civil war cooked in America, Russia, Japan, Spain, and China. Slavery was abolished in America and serfdom abolished in Russia. Great applied innovations transformed out landscape with networks of railway, subways, and communications cables. Pasteurization, the construction of the periodic table, the first organization of genetics all came on-line. As this pass begins, we see conflict growing in and around America as AI prepares to transform our work landscape.

The astrological heat builds up this spring with a very active Sun, flaring left and right. The progressed Moon of the chart of the USA entered Aries 4 months ago and will be there for the next two years. The Sun is now in Aries, Venus and Mercury already entered Aries- but then retrograded back into Pisces. With all this background fire it can be hard to stay on track in our own personal lives, but living well can be the best revenge. The healthier we are the more we can help steer our national destiny and the hopes of our planet.

But this weekend, our wheels could spin in place with delays as Mercury, now retrograde in reactive, but not aggressive, Pisces appears to hold still before it turns direct on Monday heading back into Aries on April 15.

The weekend begins with an interesting triangular aspect as Mars in Cancer trines Venus and Saturn (now conjunct in Pisces) and all three sextile Uranus, a pattern which adds momentum and underlines our need to take action towards what’s not working, though we won’t have a clear idea of what to do. We could feel tired when we don’t have a clear goal but propelled where we do. This pattern keeps those tectonic plates shifting, both in the earth and in the culture.

Over the weekend a safety-loving Cancer Moon can leave us feeling ambiguous, both ready to march in the streets but wanting to stay home and safe. It also can help us bring home that restless energy for some major home improvements. With Mercury appearing stationary over the weekend, conversations can spin in circles. Friction can build between those tectonic plates and our interpersonal versions.

Look for dramatic flair early in the week as Mercury turns direct under Leo Moon. Deal with events on the ground and straighten out misunderstandings. Soon, writing articles and emails gets easier, but there may be some turbulence in the spin. Midweek, an industrious Virgo Moon helps us put ideas into detailed plans, but we could feel difficult or brittle. Momentum builds by the end of the week.

All this week our loving relationships can flow with good sparks on an energetic level- if we keep communication lines open and clear, but that can be tricky. If our mutual understanding feels jammed, or someone tries to impose their will against ours, tensions snowball quickly. If this happens, take a deep breath, retreat to neutral corners, and try again in a few hours or days. Do not chase people into a corner, let them come out when ready.

Friday, April 4: We’ll feel positive as long as we’re with people who respect our hearts and concerns under this sensitive, protective, if not particularly flexible, Cancer Moon, and as Mars trines Saturn and both sextile Uranus. Form follows function, action and structure can work together. To make progress, find a point of emotional connection first, then talk logic. Listen for great ideas, strong strategic moves, signs of shifting ground underneath us, just don’t expect clear details until next week.

Saturn sextile Uranus 10:20 AM, Mars sextile Uranus 5:04 PM, Mars trine Saturn 7:07 PM, Moon square Sun 8:14 PM.

Saturday, April 5: It’s a long and interesting day with bumps and curves in the road. People need to truly feel heard, and to know who they can count upon as the Moon conjuncts Mars and both trine Venus and Saturn. Direct discontent to problem solving. Tap into old alliances, familiar friends and traditions, and the rule of law as Venus conjuncts Saturn, nurture those connections, don’t test them. Evening gets spicier as the Moon enters Leo; bring attention and appreciation back to those close to home.

Moon sextile Uranus 1:19 PM, Moon Saturn 1:28 PM, Moon conjunct Mars 1:48 PM, Moon trine Venus 235 PM, Moon trine Mercury 4:54 PM, Moon enters Leo 10:33 PM, Moon trine Neptune 11:01 PM.

Sunday, April 6: It’s a good day to rest up, prioritize relationships, and refill the wells as the Sun sextiles Jupiter and Venus trines Mars. We need moments of hope and rest, moments of joy to see what’s worth working for. Our feeling’s get hurt easily against the world’s grit. Let everyone have that moment in the center of the circle. Enjoy the potentially flowing heart energy but keep the practical level solid and easy.

Sun sextile Jupiter 3:44 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 5:18 AM, Venus trine Mars 613 AM.

Monday, April 7: Prepare for a wild morning as Mercury turns direct under a sometimes-dramatic Leo Moon. Laugh at the slapstick, watch secrets come out into the open, hidden things exposed, lost things found. Watch for a tendency to double down stubbornly on a misperception but do lean in on old friendships and agreements. In the morning, play it safe in the physical world, but by evening we can feel more flexibility, flirtatious, and more ready to experiment as that Venus sextiles Uranus.

Venus conjunct Saturn 5:00 AM, Mercury turns direct 5:07 AM, Moon sextile Saturn 6:36 AM, Moon trine Sun 8:30 AM, Moon square Uranus10:08 PM, Venus sextile Uranus 10:47 PM.

Tuesday, April 8: This odd, uneven day moves in fits and starts but can help us straighten out problems. Notice a sharpened critical edge towards both ourselves and our surroundings. Watch an ambient bitterness, take care of one’s own anxiety rather than project it on others, but use that critical thinking capacity wisely. Be kind to the guts, we can hold our nerves there. Supportive words are gold.

Moon quincunx Mercury at 1:32 AM, Moon enters Virgo 7:39 AM, Moon quincunx Neptune at 8:19 AM, Moon quincunx Pluto at 2:49 PM.

Wednesday, April 9: Continue to straighten out snafus and get building blocks in the right place, start work on long-term plans about the year ahead. If feeling insecure, don’t test relationships or dare them to be kind, just be patient, nurture what’s working, and make sure the signals about boundaries and needs are clear. We can feel a need to indulge whether it’s in our temper, our food, or good cry, around dinner time, as the Moon squares Jupiter.

Moon square Jupiter 6:04 PM

Thursday, April 10: The winds shift, subtle adjustments are required but can head us in a good direction this busy day. It’s easy to jump to conclusions or take insult when none was meant, just because we stub our toe or get distracted by our own process. Most people are positive- if brittle,-as the Virgo moon opposes Venus and Saturn, but duck any person throwing blame around as the Virgo Moon opposes Venus, trines Uranus, and opposes Saturn. Feel a relaxed, sociable flow seep in tonight as the Moon enters Libra and opposes Neptune.

Moon opposed Venus 8:38 AM, Moon trine Uranus 9:35 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 10:25 AM, Moon sextile Mars 1:19 PM, Moon opposed mercury 1:48 PM, Moon enters Libra 7:11 PM, Moon opposes Neptune 8:03 PM.
